

Team Ireland finishes in a strong fourth at the FEI European Championships

The Irish Show Jumping team finished just outside the medals in a strong fourth of eighteen nations, as the team competition of the FEI European Championships came to a conclusion in A Coruña last week.

Michael Blake’s team of Denis Lynch, Seamus Hughes Kennedy, Bertram, and Darragh Kenny, gave their all and climbed from seventh to fourth place over three days! The team posted 8.39 penalties, narrowly missing the bronze medal—just a few faults away from the podium. Rex (Qonquest de Rigo) had a solid first championship, especially for his young age. At only nine years old, the gelding will definitely gain from this valuable experience!
